Rugby Liberal Democrat Councillors and campaigners in the Hillmorton area have welcomed the decision by the planning inspectorate on Wednesday 5 July 2017 that it had upheld Rugby Borough Council's rejection of the proposed development on Waldings Farm, off Barby Road.

Local Councillors and campaigners from Rugby Liberal Democrats had previously submitted objections to the proposal as well objecting to another planning application for a residential development of up to 113 dwellings off Barby Lane.

Rugby Liberal Democrats will continue to campaign to ensure the Rainsbrook Valley is protected and that any new housing must come with the right infrastructure in a joined up way.
