Cllr Jerry Roodhouse and Rugby Liberal Democrats have been Working constructively across parties fighting to get things done for Rugby “We’re proud to work with others where we agree, and to stand up independently for what matters most to local people.”
Rugby Town Centre Regeneration stood still for 20 years with no real action work has finally started on this. We now need to continue to fight for the regeneration of our Town Centre
Liberal Democrats with Labour produced a confidence and supply agreement back in June 2024. After 20 plus years of a one party running the Council. Since then we been have progresing with making changes. We found in the initial months that there was a lot more work to do than we thought with old fashioned systems and greater accountability needed. We have since then been making progress with more to do.
We need to take ck our town from outside investors who just see a spreadsheet and also landlords who have no regard for Rugby, enough only by working together can we bring the changes needed.
- Town centre regeneration, over 11 projects, Brotherhood House, the old Cemex HQ, Rugby Central improving the town centre public realm. Plus, greater investment into events “Love Rugby”
- Local Plan listening and fighting for the changes needed will make significant changes.
