Gyratory Railings – Update - Sign the petition
A petition to replace the railings along the gyratory has now been launched by Ruth Bemrose, Secretary to the Church Council on behalf of Rugby Methodist Church Centre.
Writing in the Rugby Observer (5 March 2015) Ruth said "The church buildings are used by hundreds of people every week for a wide range of activities run largely by local organisations. Those using the footpath opening onto Russelsheim Way are similarly at risk, especially the elderly and partially sighted. Since the removal of the railings the number of people crossing the road unwisely has increased."
The petition can be signed by calling into the church or by going on-line https://democratic.warwickshire.gov.uk/cmis5/Petitions/tabid/90/ID/67/Reinstatement-or-guard-railings-along-Russelsheim-Way-Rugby.aspx .
One thousand signatures are needed to force Warwickshire County Council to debate this issue.
