Rugby & Bulkington will elect its first MP at the next General Elelction. Jerry Roodhouse is the prospective parliamentry candidate.

A fresh start is needed in british politics, Jerry offers the real choice for change at the next election. Jerry is an active campaigner especially around fairness and supporting for those disadvantaged groups. He has campaigned on health cuts and housing conditions, worked with voluntary groups ranging from Domestic Violence to alcohol support to secure funding.

Jerry said, "My father was a vicar, which grounded me in the issues that I tend to campaign on. For me, it was a choice between the dog collar or politics - I chose politics!" Jerry's is also a Rugby Borough Councillor, he said, "My council experience has taught me about financial management surrounding prioritising investments for the future. With two grandchildren, it is clear that we need to work harder to secure the differences needed on the enviroment and with our society."

Jerry chose the Liberal Democrats as he feels that it is the only party that still recognises that we are different and seeks, in its policys, to unlock individuals potential.
